Lettera aperta dall’Inghilterra al cardinale Giacomo Biffi
Dato che mi è impossibile fare pervenire questa lettera al cardinale Biffi, le chiedo se gentilmente può pubblicarla e inserirla nel sito.:
Mons Biffi:mi rivolgo a lei, anche se per vie inusuali, quale eminente esponente della Curia Romana con la speranza che legga questa mia e che prenda atto di quanto segue. Tempo fa lessi il libro “La favola di Cristo - Inconfutabile dimostrazione della non esistenza di Gesù” di Luigi Cascioli in cui l’autore, attraverso prove inoppugnabili, dimostrava la non esistenza di Gesù Cristo. Le confesso di aver avuto sempre dubbi e incertezze sulla figura di Gesù non fosse altro per quel barlume di raziocinio e di lucidità che ci contraddistingue dagli animali. Non perchè abbia qualche remora nei confronti della religione cristiana, per me le religioni si equivalgono tutte negli stessi propositi e nel raggiungimento di scopi ben precisi e sottilmente pianificati a discapito delle masse piu fragili e indifese, bensì per le centinaia di contraddizioni e discrepanze riscontrate nel corso delle ripetute letture dell'antico e nuovo testamento. L’opera insigne del Signor Cascioli non ha fatto altro che dare conferma ai miei interrogativi ai quali, finalmente, ho dato risposte definitive. E mi creda, non sono l’unica. Il fatto che sconcerta di più e che confermerebbe ulteriormente l’impostura volontaria e non in buona fede è che alle prove ben documentate del signor Cascioli e ai suoi ripetuti inviti di esibire prove certe dell’esistenza di Gesù contro le sue, nessuna eminenza della Chiesa Cattolica si è mai preoccupata di rispondere. Ciò significa che le argomentazioni e le accuse del signor Cascioli sono difficilmente smontabili. Il vostro silenzio ne dà ulteriore conferma. Non crede che a questo punto dovreste dare delle spiegazioni a un miliardo e più di persone che hanno creduto in voi e magari sacrificato la propria vita per rincorrere una favola? No, non ne darete mai salvo ritrovarvi con una massa di fedeli o ex fedeli che disertano le chiese e le vocazioni. Tutto si compie senza rumore, in silenzio, lo stesso silenzio di cui si serve la Chiesa Cattolica. Oggi infatti, come lei ben saprà eminenza, l'analfabetismo è stato debellato, la gente è acculturata, l’informazione incalza a ritmi sfrenati in svariati modi fra cui l’internet grazie al quale anche l’ultimo degli sprovveduti è in grado di arricchire le proprie conoscenze. È un processo che innescato non si arresterà più, che nessuno potrà fermare. Oggi i mezzi di comunicazione hanno raggiunto vertici inimmaginabili attraverso i quali il mondo acquisisce miliardi di informazioni atte a far ravvisare imposture di ogni genere, anche quelle perpetrate da duemila anni a questa parte.:Per concludere: alla luce di questi fatti, mi chiedo come sia possibile che eminenze di elevata cultura possano aver trascurato e ignorato decine e decine di contraddizioni e menzogne riportate in bella vista dalla Bibbia, un libro ispirato da Dio stesso che dovrebbe essere verità assoluta. Fino a prova contraria una verità non cambia mai, per questo si chiama verità. Se cambia anche solo di una virgola si chiama menzogna. La stessa menzogna che vi indusse a perseguitare i giusti: Galileo fu uno di loro. Ma i giusti si ripetono eminenza e con loro emergono altre verità nascoste. Oggi il signor Luigi Cascioli è uno fra questi, e voi state commettendo l'ennesimo errore. Ma la storia parlerà da sé, come del resto è sempre stato.

I`m writing to you, probably using an unusual way, as one of the most important representative of the Roman Catholic Church, hoping that you`ll read this letter considering what I wrote. Time ago I read historian Luigi Cascioli`s book “The fable of Christ - Irrefutable demonstration that Jesus never existed” in which the autor , using incontestable evidences, asserted Jesus Christ never existed. I`ve always had doubts about the existence of Jesus Christ, generated from the rationality which makes us humans different from animals. I`m not telling you this because I have any kind of prejudice against christian religion, as far as I`m concerned I regard every religion as equal in promoting subtle identical objectives with the purpose subduing weak minds. In reality, I`m writing to you this because, after a continuos examination of the new and old testament, I noticed several important contradictions. Mr Cascioli`s book gave me finally the evidences and the answers to my questions. Believe me, I am not alone. Even more important is the fact which confirmes the misleading behaviour of Catholic Church, which, of course, was not an act of good faith. In fact any representative of Church never bothered to answered to Luigi Cascioli`s perfectly documented work about Jesus Christ`s existence. This kind of behaviour shows Mr Cascioli`s accusation very difficult to dispute. Your silence about this matter is probably the proof that what Mr Cascioli says is true. Don`t you believe that now you should give an explanation to a billion of people who believed in what you said , maybe sacrifiing their lives believing to a legend? I think you`ll never do that, even if Catholic Church is loosing devotees and priests. Everything is already happening in silence, the same silence used by Church. In fact to day, as you are well aware, there are not illiterates anymore, people is quite cultured, information is available by various means , most of all internet, using which even a simple person can have access to awide and in partial information. It is a process which already started and will never be stopped by anybody. To day media provides worldwide information with the purpose to unmaske any kind of frauds, even those committed two thousand years ago.:To come to a conclusion, after what has been said, I just wonder how it`s possible that very cultured people like you ignored hundreds of Bible`s contradictions and lies. If Bible has been inspired by God it should be absolute truth. As you knows, truth never changes. If it changes, even a little bit, is consideredm a lie. The same lie was a weapon used by Church to persecute many upright people: one of them was Galileo. But many others came and even more will follow with the purpose of revealing the truth. To day Mr Cascioli is one of them and you are repeating the same mistake. But history will tell the truth, as ever.
